David Cook won the American Idol !

I meant to write something about the judges take of both Davids performances earlier this week but was unable to do so. Amfufu.com experienced some technical difficulties the previous days because of the recent webhosting changes. My webhost transferred all of its existing clients to a different server and there were some DNS propagation issues.

Back to the topic. I felt really bad how David performed that night. I must agree with the judges because David Cook didn’t perform quite well on that 3-song finale night. Compared with David Archuleta, David Cook’s performance was a little disappointing. I thought it’s just me but a lot of people in the internet have the same perception.

I love both Davids. They are really great singers. I just love Cook’s style more and I was hoping he would win. And he did ! I have overstated in my previous blog that David Archuleta would win because of his huge fan base. I was wrong. The 12 million vote margin says it all.

Here’s a good analysis by Lynn Elber how David Cook won the American Idol.

PayPerPost: Get Paid to Blog!

May 20, 2008 · Filed Under PayPerPost · 5 Comments

At last! Amfufu.com ’s application for a blog-to-get-paid opportunity at PayPerPost was finally approved!

What’s with the excitement?
Well, for one thing, I could write about the things I love in my own website (technically a blogsite) and I also have an opportunity to earn from it. That’s the beauty that immediately settled in and registered inside my system like a lightbulb flashing over my head. It’s the freedom to write about topics and things that an individual could relate to that provided me the needed push to sign-up and register.

…And it’s not about the money and the incentives?!
Don’t get me wrong, kiddo. Of course, it is also about the money. The thing is, before you begin thinking of how much you could earn and how you would spend the money, it would be best to sign-up and register first. That would be a great start for a great opportunity.

Does it hurt?
Not unless you are sitting naked on an ant-hill. The registration process is quick, simple, and definitely painless. You can register for an account directly from PayPerPost website or if you should willingly choose to do so, you can register as my referral. You can register here as an Advertiser or as a Blogger. I would be grateful if you do so. Note that there is no obligation or deduction from your future earnings if you choose to register as my referral. PayPerPost would handle that.

After I register, can I start writing immediately and earn ?
After the registration process is completed, you have to activate your blog. You can see a video how to do that at PayPerPost University website. Click on the appropriate links below.

Got any tips?
Yes, I do.

  1. If you are using WordPress, you might want to use a plugin to make it easier for you in attaching the PPP code to your blog. There is a plugin for automating the PPP code insertion by Scott Krutsinger.
  2. Make sure that your Archive widget or Archive page is visible in your main page. I have hidden my archive page (because I hate redundant information in my main page) prior to submitting my blog for activation and it resulted to delays.
  3. Don’t hesitate to ask for help by clicking on the “Contact Support” link at the bottom of the PayPerPost page. As I have mentioned above, I received two failed blog activation email because my WordPress Archive widget is not visible. I made the necessary adjustments and submitted a ticket via “Contact Support” explaining that I have made the necessary adjustments for the Archive. And on the same day, I received an email confirmation that my blog is activated.

After you have your blog and PPP code activated (click on the “My Blogs” tab you should see a green-colored check icon under “PPP Tools Installed” and a green thumbs-up icon under MarketPlace and Direct columns) , you are good to go ! Click on the “Open Opportunities” tab, look for the yellow greenish highlighted entry. Click the link and start writing your very first $20.00 worth blog.

Good luck !
