How to Add Digg to Blogs
May 25, 2008 | Filed Under Blogging Tools
Here’s how to add a Digg code to your blog:
- Create an account at Digg.
- Your blog should be “Digg”ed or “Dugg” first before you can add the Digg code. (in my case, I Digg my article/blog first using an installed Sociable wordpress plugin)
- After “Digg”ing your own article/blog, copy the the Digg URL for the article you submitted. (example: Digg URL for my latest article Internet Security Part 1: Firewall is :
http://digg.com/security/Internet_Security_Part_1_Firewall) - Add the code below to your article/blog, replacing the URL with your own Digg URL.

You should see something like the image below when you publish and view your article

Cool eh? What are you waiting for ? Add Digg to your blogs! And return here to Digg this article. ![]()

Gee, I could have copied text from their website Now, tell me how to do this on myspace and you get a prize (and maybe a digg.)
Wait, do it on spaces.live.com and you’ll get another!
Very helpful, thank you!
@Smippy I sent you an email how to do that in space.live.com
@Web-Lounge
You are welcome.
Thats excellent! The next thing is to find out how to digg it directly from here without going to the Digg page first.
@Jonny Bonny
Yeah, that would surely speed things up.. and by the way the code above is no magic. It’s provided by Digg. I’m just sharing this..
Yep, makes it easier to digg blog posts, very nice!
Great post! Maybe you could write about a few useful Wordpress plugins that make your blog Digg-proof.
